How to Automate Resource Stop & Start Schedules

Use Hyperglance to automatically stop and start workspaces & instances overnight and on weekends

Introduction

Hyperglance allows you to automate the start and stop schedules of your resources.

In this example, we’ll set up 2 rules:

1. The first will stop AWS Workspaces in our development account every day at 6 pm.
2. The second will start the same AWS Workspaces every weekday at 8 am.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open Hyperglance
2. Navigate to the Advanced Search tab
3. Select the accounts you want to work with
4. Search for workspaces
5. Add the action
6. Add the rule Name and labels
7. Select when you want the action to run
8. Save the rule
9. The Automation tab will give you details of the rules that have run
10. The rule will have a link to the automation if it has been run that day
