How to set up Hyperglance via the GCP Marketplace

Get started with Hyperglance in GCP by deploying via the Marketplace

COMING SOON!

Hyperglance is not available on the GCP Marketplace but will be soon!

  1. Search the marketplace for Hyperglance
  2. Select an appropriate listing based on the number of qualified resources you need Hyperglance to manage. Or to get your license directly from Hyperglance Inc select the BYOL (Bring Your Own License) product.
  3. Open the listing click Launch:
  4. Choose between a browser based or a command-line based deployment.  Select Terraform for a browser (UI) based deployment, the rest of this guide assumes you selected this option.
  5. Give the deployment a name:
  6. GCP Infra Manager executes Terraform using the identity of a service account to deploy the product from the Marketplace.  To create a suitable service account select New Account and give it a name, ID and description of your choosing:
  7. Select a zone to deploy resources into:
  8. Select a machine type. You should predominantly make this decision based on how much memory to allocate to Hyperglance which is dependant on big of an environment you have and how many resources there are. See our RAM sizing guide to help you decide.  The machine type can be adjusted later if necessary.
  9. [Optional] Secure Boot, Integrity monitoring and vTPM can be adjusted if desired:
  10. To adjust any network properties click to expand this section:

Once expanded you can edit the Network, subnet and public IP:
  11. Configure the firewall (see details below):

    1. Allow TCP port 22 traffic from the Internet - Enable this option to allow SSH management from external networks over the internet. When selected you are prompted for a subnet range to restrict SSH access to.
    2. Allow TCP port 22 traffic from the Internet from range 35.235.240.0/20 to allow SSH-in-browser to function - Enable to allow SSH-in-browser via the GCP Console. This works using Cloud-OS logins.
    3. Allow HTTPS traffic from the Internet - Enable this option to allow web traffic access from external networks over the internet. When selected you are prompted for a subnet range to restrict SSH access to.  Typically you would set this to your public IP with a /32 on the end (see example in screenshot).
  12. [Optional] Enable Cloud Logging and/or Cloud Monitoring against the Hyperglance instance.
  13. Click
  14. Once the deployment is complete the DETAILS tab will provide you with a web link to the application as well as the default user (admin) and default password (the instance-id) Displaying image.png
  15. Visit the URL in your browser. At the login screen the username will be admin and the password will be the instance id:
  16. Congratulations you have deployed Hyperglance from the GCP Marketplace!
