Groups are hierarchical 'groups' of topology. They are created by our integrations and might be used to represent a variety of categorical concepts. For example a Region, Account or Subnet might all be represented as groups in Hyperglance.
Like folders groups can be "opened" (expanded) and "closed" (collapsed) to display, or not display, the topology inside of them.
By default groups start collapsed.
A collapsed group looks like this:
Left-clicking on a group (single click) will bring up the entity dashboard.
But double-clicking on a group it will expand and display its contents:
Here the expanded group contains several "sub" groups that we can now see: manchester, prod, RegionOne and Hypervisors.
To collapse a group again, double-click on its name.
Using the Groups list
Another way to expand & contract groups is to use the Groups list in the top-right corner of the screen:
