Groups are hierarchical 'groups' of topology. They are created by our integrations and might be used to represent a variety of categorical concepts. For example a Region, Account or Subnet might all be represented as groups in Hyperglance.

Like folders groups can be "opened" (expanded) and "closed" (collapsed) to display, or not display, the topology inside of them.

By default groups start collapsed.

A collapsed group looks like this:

Click on a group icon to bring up the entity dashboard and click on the Group label to expand and display its contents:

Here the expanded group contains two customer gateway nodes and three "sub" groups of type 'Account' that we can now see: Local Account, demo and testing.

To collapse a group again, click on its label.

You can keep expanding sub-groups as much as you want.

You can also automatically expand ALL subgroups using the "expand all" tool in the top-right corner of the screen:

The "Expand All" Tool

To use this tool simply select a group first, then click the "expand all" button shown in the top-right corner.

>> Be careful using the 'expand all' tool on groups containing large topologies as your browser performance might suffer.
